Delete your account and data
You can delete your AMS account in Settings or request help from Arden Metrics Pty Ltd (Ardenmetrics) by email. You do not need to sign in or reinstall the app to email a request.
Email a deletion requestRequest deletion by email
- Email contact@ardenmetrics.com with the subject “AMS account and data deletion request”.
- Include your name, the email address used for AMS, and your organisation if applicable. State that you want your AMS account and associated personal data deleted.
- Send from your registered email address if possible. If you cannot access it, tell us; we may ask for information to verify ownership before deleting anything.
Do not send your password or detailed health information. We may contact you to confirm your identity, clarify shared records and explain any information that must be retained.
Delete through AMS Settings
- Open AMS Settings and sign in.
- Find “Delete account and data”. If asked, choose whether programs you created for others should be kept or deleted.
- Type confirm and select “Delete my account and data”. Deletion is permanent.
If a Garmin disconnection prevents completion, open Garmin privacy in Settings, retry disconnection, then retry deletion. You can also email us for help.
What is deleted
The account deletion process removes your AMS sign-in account, user profile, linked athlete profiles and associated application records across your workspaces. This includes linked training logs, wellbeing records, bookings and imported activity records covered by those profiles.
For uploaded files, historical organisation records or any specific record you want removed, identify it in your request so we can check associated storage and any retention obligations. Uninstalling AMS alone does not delete your account or server records.
What may remain and for how long
- Shared records: programs you choose to keep remain without your account attribution. Records belonging to other athletes or your organisation may remain for their ongoing use and record-keeping needs. Choosing to delete an authored program archives it and removes its assignments; it does not promise immediate erasure of every historical copy.
- Backups: copies may remain until the applicable provider backup retention period expires. Contact us for the period applicable to your records.
- Legal and organisational obligations: information required for legal obligations, security or dispute resolution may be kept for that purpose. The period depends on the record and obligation; we will explain applicable retention when handling your request.
- External copies: deletion cannot recall files already downloaded by authorised recipients or remove records held independently by Garmin, Apple Health or other connected services. Their own retention policies apply.
Successful self-service deletion removes the associated active application records during the deletion process. Email requests require ownership verification and review; contact us for progress or clarification of retained records.
